General - Call for nomination for the Coast's most outstanding business women

Written by:

The search has began for the 2011 Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year.   Likeminded Coast women will have the opportunity to hear from some of the inspirational 2010 winners and the 2011 sponsors will be showcased at the May Business Women’s Network breakfast meeting.

The May breakfast will be held at the Maroochydore Surf Club on May 10, 2011 and will also feature former Telstra Business Woman of the Year and founder of the Pyjama Foundation, Bronwyn Sheehan.

The Awards event and gala dinner, to be held in August, has become one of the Sunshine Coast’s most prestigious annual events and this year proves to be no exception.

Sue Willis, President of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network and successful businesswomen herself, says  that each year the previous year’s winners inspire and support other women in the community and believes the calibre of nominations each year raise the bar even higher.

“Our “Business Woman of the Year” awards are all about recognising and rewarding the successful business women on the Sunshine Coast and allowing others to share in their stories so they too can feel motivated and supported to achieve their goals,” Sue says.

“Each year the calibre of nominations are highly contended, and as the network continues to grow, there are more and more women from across the Sunshine Coast region who are more than worthy of being nominated.”

The Gala Awards Night is on Saturday August 27
at the Hyatt Regency Coolum.  To obtain a
nomination form or book your place at the May breakfast, visit www.scbwn.org.au.  For more information please call Chelsea Hunter on
