State wide survey confirms Queensland is indeed the best place to work

State wide survey confirms Queensland is indeed the best place to work.

Queensland’s long been a magnet for people seeking the ultimate lifestyle but new survey results released show Queenslanders are demanding access to high tech facilities and equipment to do business and that a significant amount (50%) work remotely.

The state-wide survey was initiated by Vickie Johnson (pictured on left), director of O3Office (a network of online bookable boardrooms and office spaces).  The survey (canvassing over 450 Queensland business owners) was developed out of a desire to investigate and understand Queenslanders business and lifestyle culture.
An overwhelming 86 percent of respondents said they thought Queensland was indeed the best place in the country to live and work, with  47 percent of respondents being business owners and the remainder being part time or full time employees.

49 percent of respondents said they had lived in Queensland their whole lives and of those who were not originally from Queensland said it was the climate (31.8%) or lifestyle (36.1%) that brought them here.  50 percent of respondents worked in a small business (one to five individuals) while 36 percent were home based businesses.
Johnson says despite the misconception that Queenslanders can be slow to adopt new technologies and innovations; the survey proves that Queenslanders are indeed tech-savvy and are seeking access to high-tech facilities and equipment to conduct their business.

The survey also provides candid insights about what Queenslanders value in their businesses, listing work/lifestyle balance, professional image and reputation, and high speed internet as some of the more important qualities in their business as well as the facilities they regularly require such as WiFi (56%), Hotspots (29%), Meeting Spaces (31%) and data projectors (24.3%).

A précis of the survey results will be available on the O3Office website shortly, for more information contact their offices at 13000 14000.
