Chamber benefits local businesses
If you're like most business owners and operators, chances are you crave the occasional bit of professional support, access to resources or even just some inspiration to make it through the day.
The Kawana Waters Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KWCCI) is a friendly crowd of business professionals that endeavour to enhance business and personal growth within the Kawana region.
Aside from providing members with a multitude of educational business resources, the KWCCI also holds monthly networking events which enable attendees to build relationships with and learn from like-minded business owners and operators in the region.
Chamber president Jo Hall said in the coming year the chamber would focus on assisting three key community groups, including local business owners and operators, the youth and retirees.
"Our aim is to inspire youths to get involved with the local business community, offer education, networking and advocacy opportunities to local business owners and operators and involve retirees with the chamber through membership, mentoring and volunteer work," Ms Hall said.
"We're always looking to welcome new members who possess a passion for business and a strong sense of community spirit."
Ms Hall said all members received promotion via the organisation's online business directory, attractive advertising opportunities, business support and collaborative representation when lobbying government.
"What most people don't realise is that you don't have to live and work in Kawana to become a member and you can definitely be a member of more than one chamber," she said.
"Joining the chamber is a fantastic way to stay motivated, enhance your business success and socialise with a fun group of people."
Membership through to June 2012 is now only $160 and concessions are available for retirees and pensioners. Visit www.kawanabiz.com.au to become a member or find out more.
